A recent study ensures that young Spaniards are unaware of their recent history and know less about it than the French and Germans. What do young Spaniards know about the Civil War? Do you care at all about what happened? What would your life have been like if you turned 18 in 1936? What was the youth like for those who lived in the conflict, for those who survived, for those who are now elderly? Everything is confusion, a yellowish map of the peninsula full of lagoons and fog, where the limits between the present and the past, between reality and fiction, the political and the intimate are confused.

LaJoven is a project of Fundación Teatro Joven. It unites performing arts professionals with the teaching community and serves as a professional space for young people.
Our mission is to spread the love for culture and theater through the creation of future professionals, artists and technicians, promoting dramatic research, and seeking the incorporation of young audiences into theater through contemporary dramaturgy.
In ten years, LaJoven has premiered 23 productions that have been enjoyed by nearly 350,000 viewers.
