"All or Nothing" is both a fable and a tale about growing up and venturing into a world that has betrayed. With the help of a storyteller, the two different stories unravel before us, and it all begins with the Great Apocalypse, the end of the world. We follow eleven young people who, after the Apocalypse, are the only survivors. They have lost everything, especially the security they had in their family and friends. One by one, they are forced to venture out into an unknown, new world. There, they find new friends and form new alliances that eventually merge into a new family, and they find an abandoned house in a forest where they settle, or perhaps dream of settling.

Together, they now find their common story and form bonds with each other, and the hope for a brighter new world begins to blossom. But in the shadows lurk threats, darkness, and the void. The young people struggle to keep the darkness from seeping in between them, and the community breaks apart once again. Perhaps it was all just an illusion, a fairy tale, from the beginning.

Parallel to the story of the young people, we also tell the mythological fable of the Panda, the Dragon, and the Rat. The three animals that once ruled and dominated the world but also caused its downfall. The two stories blend together and become one; perhaps they were the same story all along?

Sobre la compañía

Uppsala City Theatre is Sweden's third-largest city theatre. About 50 actors, including a permanent ensemble of 12 members, work at the theatre alongside staff in administration, technology, makeup, costume, set design, and production. A steady stream of freelancers and new artists contribute a constant influx of new ideas. The theatre has four different stages where a wide repertoire is performed, including classics as well as new dramas, musicals, comedies, and deep dramas reaching around 80,000 visitors of all ages each year.
Uppsala City Theatre places a strong emphasis on children and young people, with programs for school students, families, and university students. We collaborate with many schools in the county. Uppsala City Theatre is also the only institutional theatre in Sweden that currently has a youth ensemble. The work with the ensemble is led by director Maria Trost, who each year welcomes a new group of 12-15 youths aged 15-20 living in Uppsala County. Together, they create a production through the method of devising, where the script is based on the youths' own thoughts, feelings, and experiences. During the autumn, the script is developed, and in the spring, the production premieres.
